What is lacking here is Industry Interface, which is very limited, having a maximum duration of two months, that too as summer training. Hence once the student passes out from the college & joins an industry, he has almost nil or limited Industry experience. Here he learns on the Job and therefore is required to struggle for another 2 or 3 years to understand the organization, procedures, application of known management concepts .

On the contrary in Industry Integrated programme a student after learning basic management concepts takes up training in an Industry of its desired specialization for 4-5 days in a week as a regular employee under the supervision and guidance of an Internal Guide from the Management & an External Guide from the Industry. In this system they are able to apply classroom knowledge at work place and can discuss work place situations with other students and also seek solutions of the same with their faculty.

The net result is a perfect integration of classroom learning with the work place performance leading to a Corporate & professional grooming with “work experience”.

A Graduate or Post Graduate with Industry Integrated Degree with relevant Industry experience is always in a position to demand higher salaries than their Traditional Management qualified colleagues, during their Final Placement.
